My local mechanic suggested whatever I buy with an AFM he will send off the ECU to have the AFM flashed out. We figured we already had the intake manifold off to install the engine, why run the risk of MIL only to have to removed the intake manifold again without being paid. If a shop pulled a DTC code P0300 and found AFM to be the issue, it may not be too late to try the disabler. Service manager said nothing else needs to be replaced because the engine has a Teflon coating.
